Maine YogaFest 2016!

Hey guys! Victoria here! I spent the day at the Maine YogaFest in Portland, ME on July 8th and had such a blast! I recently just completed my 200HR Yoga Teacher Certification in North Carolina before moving back home to Maine and when I saw that the YogaFest was going on I immediately applied to be an event photographer so that I could have the best of both worlds: A day full of photography & yoga classes!

The Maine YogaFest was absolutely amazing! There were SO MANY teachers, vendors, and classes that I simply just couldn’t keep up! I had the pleasure of meeting Emily Cooper of Sinful Nutrition and snapping a few head shots of her as well as her favorite yoga poses!

The two classes I attended were Warrior Yoga with David & Amie from Yoga On York in York, ME and Journey through the Chakras with Amy Leydon of Amy Leydon Yoga in Boston, MA! They were both so inspiring and filled with engery. David’s class was a mixture of classic rock music, strength building, and “Oh my God, can we please just go to Savasana now!!” Haha! Amy’s class was inspiring and so different as I’m used to such a different sequence but I learned a lot and took notes as to sequencing when relating to the chakras!

The lunch that Rosemont Market & Bakery provided was to DIE FOR. There was a huge sandwich, a big cookie, a banana, AND a little bag of chips.

I can not wait for next year, despite the weather it was an amazing experience and I can’t wait for next year!
