When I left my home to head up north for this shoot it was a beautiful 70 degrees. It was sunny and warm…period! I had never been to Pemaquid Point Lighthouse but I had heard a lot of lovely things about it and its views. When I arrived the temperature had dropped 20 degrees., the clouds were coming in, I could hardly make out the ocean and what I could see of the lighthouse was starting to fade away in the fog. The ocean was slamming into the rocks and it was just very peaceful. I could have sat there for hours just watching it all. But…my hair is naturally curly and was starting to frizz out like Monica’s from Friends and of course I had an e-shoot to do.
Christen and Ben arrived shortly after I arrived. I had already scouted out the best spots to take their photos. Christen and Ben are planning a destination wedding this year here in Maine. This was my first time getting to meet them in person and I really enjoyed it. They were naturals in front of the camera and were up for anything. I mean anything! For instance…when I asked them to walk out on to a very narrow rock high above the other rocks so that I can get an amazing shot? And they said, Yes! That is trusting your photographer. 🙂
I am so excited to be a part of their wedding at the Claremont Hotel this year. For now, here are some sneak peeks of their e-shoot and check back in June for their wedding day blog.
