Last weekend I spent the weekend in Bar Harbor for Christen and Ben’s wedding!  The day couldn’t have been any more perfect for them.  They were married on Saturday, June 24th at the Claremont Hotel.  The hotel over looks the water with sail boats passing by.

While the guys finished the last minute tasks and got ready in the hotel, the girls were getting ready in the Phillips House.  When we walked in the girls were having fun chatting over food while Christen was having her hair and make-up done.  Because the house was so beautiful we decided to take advantage of the huge wrap around porch and large doors for all of the detail photos.  When it came time for Christen to get into her dress, her sister and mother were there to help her and what a stunning bride she was.  We chose to do her formal portraits right next to the grand piano in the room, not only because it was a beautiful piano but also because Christen can play the piano.

Christen and Ben chose to share a sweet first look before the ceremony.  The ceremony was held closer to the water and what I loved most about it, was the fact that Christen and Ben had their family come up and speak about the history of their families and how they came to America.  We also learned that Bats have ears!  🙂  Right Christen?

After the ceremony all the guests got to enjoy cocktail hour in the boat house then followed with a lobster dinner during the reception.  The guests also enjoyed playing all the lawn games that were set up all across the lawn.  It was such a beautiful day and I am happy that we got to be a part of it.
