“What are you wearing for shoes?” I asked Melissa at lunch one day when we met to talk about the wedding.
“My Bean Boots.”
*Cue the melting heart.*
Melissa + Brad chose to elope on their 5 years of dating anniversary, they even got engaged on January 12th in 2018, and I couldn’t wait for their day to arrive. I love winter + elopements + Maine’s scenery so the fact that she was wearing her Bean Boots was the icing on the cake!
I had to laugh the day of the wedding though when I was packing my gear Melissa was snap chatting me and my only response was “Only you would be snapping just hours before your wedding lol”. I arrived at her apartment where Bo anxiously greeted me and I took a minute to get settled and warmed up. As I started to take Melissa’s detail photos it was funny to have her watching what I was doing because Melissa has been my Second Shooter at a lot of the weddings I’ve done but this time it was HER wedding and HER details but still, it was comforting that she knew my routine.
After getting her into her dress I layered up and drove down to the point to meet everyone there. I’m not going to lie, the wind + temperature wasn’t ideal but the LIGHT *insert heart eyes* was amazing!! (And even makes the photos actually look like it was warm).
I’m so thankful that Melissa trusted us to capture her & Brad’s elopement and can’t wait for you to scroll down and see their day!
Thank you again, Melissa + Brad! Congratulations, we’re so happy for you!! XOXO
