Wedding season is upon us my friends and I am so happy to say those words. Last year had me lost not celebrating all of my amazing couples. I am so excited to celebrate each of them this year!!
Carolyn and Alex were married, Saturday, May 1st, at the beautiful River Wind Barn and Estate. It was a gorgeous, sunny day that came with a price. We were fortunate enough to have winds grace us at about 25 mph…the whole day. But, that didn’t stop my couple from having the best day ever.
Carolyn and Alex were married before all of their family and closest friends on the new patio. There were plenty of laughs and tears. And at one point there was even some “Sweet Caroline” playing during the ceremony. 🙂 Carolyn and Alex met when they both volunteered with the middle school youth group at East Point Church. They became friends first, and when he asked her on a date she was so surprised she scampered away after she said “yeah sure!” And HIGH FIVED him. He proposed at Fort Williams on March 28th 2020- only a few days before the park closed due to covid. He asked if he could take a picture of her facing the lighthouse. He tugged on her jacket, and when she turned around he was on one knee. There was lots of crying, giggling, and babbling…. he actually had to tell her to stop talking! He had her best friend hidden in some bushes taking pictures of the whole thing. <3
We had so much fun walking the grounds of the venue taking sweet “Just Married” photos before heading into the reception. Carolyn and Alex shared a beautiful first dance before dancing with their parents. Cue the tears, thank goodness a camera shields my face. The wedding party shared some wonderful speeches that were full of stories and laughter. We finished the evening with some dancing, and I must say they have some friends who really know how to bust a move.
Here is a sneak peek into their wedding day and all the amazing vendors that helped make this day extra special. Enjoy!
